The Start The Day Club is a group of young artists who collaboratively explore new ways of expressing themselves through creative media. Working with clay, printmaking, painting, cyanotype (sun prints) drawing and 3D modelling to name a few, we develop skills and interests in a friendly and supportive environment.

Our work is centred around environmental principles, working on eco themes or with recycled or environmentally friendly tools and materials where possible.

The club develops a love of the arts in a relaxed setting, allowing creativity and new friendships to blossom.

          Current Sessions

Friday 4.30 - 5.30pm
Saturday 10 - 11am

Age 4 - 10

In these small, intimate classes at my home we begin each session with a focussed drawing exercize to practice sketching and improve observation skills.
We then move on to a variety of projects; painting, print making, collage, 3D work and much more.
Working in small groups allows us to focus on each child's particular skills and interests.

Sign up for a 6 session course and you will be given first refusal on the next course.

Join me for an art adventure!

Give me a call to arrange a trial session.

“I don’t love getting up early but Start the Day club is such a good thing to get up for before school.  Everything we do is great.”

-Robyn Age 9

"I like it because we try lots of different art and we use clay, string, paint, paper and pastels. Jess is really nice”

- Maddie Age 8

“It’s been such a great way for my daughter to express herself in a loving environment. The children seem free and encouraged to participate, and not be concerned of the outcome- just happy to give it a go. My daughter has learnt so much about artists and techniques even before taking it up as a subject in school, and I’m ever so proud of all of the beautiful artwork she and her fellow artists produce each week!’’

-Claire, parent of Beatrice, Age 7

I now offer Trinity Arts Award qualifications through one to one and group sessions.
